Part of the acclaimed Beau Vigne ‘Cult’ series, the 2023 HERO California Proprietary Red is a multi-vineyard, multi-AVA blend focused entirely on Cabernet Sauvignon grown on chalky, volcanic, and rocky soils.
Sourced from select Napa, Sonoma, and North Coast hillside vineyards ranging from 150 to 2,000 feet in elevation, the wine benefits from cool mornings and sunny afternoons. The blend (Cabernet Sauvignon based) balances concentration with elegance. It opens with a savory bouquet of rose petals, red liquorice, charcuterie, and grapefruit zest. The palate is layered with leather-scented black cherries and graphite minerality, building through plump tannins to a lengthy finish of juicy Damson plum and mountain blueberry.
