Founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Anmol Bhandari, PerUs is an ultra-premium Napa Valley project that began with a miniscule 30 case production. PerUs sources fruit from some of Napa’s most coveted vineyards—Tench, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Sage Ridge, to name a few—all processed at the state-of-the-art Tench Winery facility, opened in 2017. As Winemaker, Russell Bevan applies a meticulous approach: blending free-run juice from multiple elite vineyards, managing tannin extraction carefully, and orchestrating dozens of blind tastings to finalize each blend—sometimes up to 15 iterations. 

We'll explore four distinguished wines from their acclaimed labels:

2023 Lyla – A Bordeaux-style blend anchored by Merlot and Cabernet Franc from Sugarloaf Mountain, with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. The cool vintage delivers balanced tannins, plum, cherry, and a hint of mocha.

2022 Bryn – A rich Cabernet Sauvignon–driven blend from Tench and Sugarloaf, showcasing ripe fruit concentration and structured elegance 

2021 Janeen – 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sage Ridge Vineyard (1400′ above Lake Hennessey), offering vibrant cassis and blueberry framed by mineral-driven finesse 

2021 Alessio – A Bordeaux blend with equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot, bringing dark fruit, mocha, and tobacco supported by aromatic weight and roundness
