| Description of Event: |
The Delon family oversees a regal Bordelaise portfolio—Château Léoville-Las Cases and Clos du Marquis in Saint-Julien, Château Potensac in the Médoc, and Château Nénin in Pomerol—all united by a single philosophy: wines that transparently express their terroir, balance freshness with structure, and age with grace. Crafted to be enjoyed at the table, these wines emphasize ripe fruit, vibrant acidity, and restrained oak. Through meticulous vineyard work, environmentally respectful farming, and rigorous selection, the Delon family strives for consistency and excellence, treating every bottle as an ambassador of its estate and vintage.
Leoville Las Cases - One of the oldest estates in the Médoc, Domaine de Léoville passed from influential French noble families to the Las Cases family, with the estate formally taking shape as Château Léoville Las Cases in the early 19th century after revolutionary-era divisions. Its Grand Vin comes from the historic heart of the original property, cultivated since the 17th century, and the château has remained under continuous family stewardship since the late 1800s, now led by Jean-Hubert Delon.
Clos du Marquis - Created in the early 20th century, Clos du Marquis takes its name from the Petit Clos near the Château de Léoville and released its first vintage in 1902 as a distinct vineyard from Léoville Las Cases. Sourced from prime Saint-Julien terroirs and surrounded by prestigious Classified Growths, it remains a historic Domaines Delon wine shaped by its exceptional location.
Chateau Potensac - Long passed down through generations of women, Château Potensac is now owned by Jean-Hubert Delon, who inherited the estate from his grandmother, Georgette Liquard. Situated on a high point in northern Médoc near the river, its 60-hectare vineyards in Ordonnac sit on prime soils that allow each grape variety to shine and give the wines notable ageing potential.
Chateau Nenin - Jean-Hubert Delon acquired Château Nénin in 1997 from the Despujol family and immediately undertook a comprehensive transformation of the estate. Extensive vineyard replanting, modernized facilities, and state-of-the-art cellars reshaped Nénin into a fully renewed Pomerol property.
We are excited to welcome Domaines Delon's Business Development Manager, Axel Hirvenoja to Knightsbridge to lead us through a tasting from the wineries in the Domaines Delon portfolio:
