The 2023 Bourgogne-Chitry, which matured in a combination of demi-muids and regular barrels, has a backward nose that unfurls with lanolin, grilled hazelnut and just a hint of smoke. Again, this is quite complex. The palate is clean and fresh, with a lovely texture of orange rind mixed with tangerine that dovetails into a saline finish. It's not as long as the Aligoté Plantation 1902, but this deserves a few months once in bottle.
