The 2022 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru, which comes from vines whose fruit tends to ripen quickly, matured primarily in amphorae with the rest in used barrels. It has a gorgeous bouquet with wonderfully delineated frangipani, almond, orchard fruit and light chamomile aromas. The palate is so pure and tensile, with stunning balance and nectarine, stem ginger and a touch of 5-spice toward the persistent finish. The 2022 is superb.
