Domaine Macle - Chateau Chalon, Jura 2012 (620ml)
This unique wine is bottled in squat 620ml bottles as local legend has it 380ml is the amount of wine that should evaporate from a liter's worth of wine during its extended barrel aging, often up to a decade. The Macle family founded this winery in 1850. Currently, they farm 12 ha of vines in the Cotes de Jura and Chateau Chalon appellations. Their family has become to be known as masters of the region. Producing potent wines of complexity and tension with a touch of nutty oxidative style, they are not to missed.
