Folly of Man marks an exciting new chapter in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, and we’re thrilled to bring their wines into our collection. Founded by wife and husband winemakers Tracy and Aaron Kendall. The couple farms their 48-acre estate with a deep commitment to regenerative and biodynamic agriculture—this approach is taken as it is their viticultural philosophy but also by a desire to leave a lasting legacy for their family and the land.
Fans of Nicolas-Jay will likely recognize Tracy Kendall’s touch. Before founding Folly of Man, she spent a decade as Associate Winemaker at that highly regarded Oregon estate, working alongside Jean-Nicolas Méo of Burgundy’s famed Domaine Méo-Camuzet. Her earlier training at Vasse Felix and Felton Road further shaped a stylistic clarity that balances freshness with depth. At Folly of Man, her experience is complemented by Aaron Kendall’s own formidable résumé, which includes a leadership role at Beaux Frères, helping craft some of Oregon’s most sought-after Pinot Noirs.
Black and blue fruits, dried plum and exotic spices dominate the nose in this deeply expressive wine. The windblown high elevation vineyard is showcased beautifully by hints of savory earth and black tea giving way to boysenberry and blackberry compote. Wound tight, this wine exudes impressive structure and bright acid with a long lifted finish.
