Domaine Francois Mikulski will always evoke strong emotions for us here at Knightsbridge. Our visit to the Domaine for the first time was shamefully late. We visited to taste the 2021s out of barrel. It was eye-opening. While we’ve long enjoyed these wines, Mikulski’s 2021s captivated us, igniting an even deeper inner fandom. It was confirmed, this address is an ascending Domaine in Meursault and their 2023s are fantastic across the whole range
Our visit cemented is that the wines here are fantastic. There's precision, the wines are vibrant with acidity, minerality and site definition but there's also generosity that so famously calls to their Meursault roots.
Thomas Boccon, who led us through the Domaine's wines, told us about their commitment "to make wines that represent the Domaine and the terroir." and "The importance of working with acidity."
Burghound: 88-91 Points
Here there is just enough wood influence to merit pointing out suffusing the ripe white-fleshed fruit aromas where background hints of citrus and acacia can be found. The succulent, round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors possess good verve while exhibiting fine length on the balanced and moderately dry but not really austere finale. This is a wine that could be enjoyed both young or with 3 to 6 years of keeping.
