Laurent Tribut's Chablis production is drawn from a small vineyard holding of approximately 1.6ha of vineyards located next to those of Vincent Dauvissat. This is no coincidence, Laurent is married to Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat and this vineyard is part of her portion of her family's well placed terroir. It is planted on the area's well known kimmeridgian soil. While Laurent once made his wines at Vincent Dauvissat's domaine in the beginning, he has now has moved into his own place. Still with him are the techniques and practices that followed him from Dauvissat; hand harvesting, stainless steel fermentation, and elevage in old oak barrels.

There are plenty of Chablis elements to the ripe, pretty and very fresh aromas of mostly pear and apple scents. There is fine richness to the supple, round and enveloping flavors that exude a refreshing salinity on the ever-so-mildly warm finish. This relatively forward effort should drink well on the younger side if desired.
