Staff Description
This wine is strikingly pure and bright. A joy to taste at the domaine, it will be just as rewarding to enjoy over the next several years. The Bourgogne Rouge is one of our favorites, sourced primarily from Chambolle-Musigny, with meaningful contributions from Morey-Saint-Denis and Premeaux. The result is a wine of remarkable clarity—fresh, precise, and pristine.
Burghound: 87-89 Points
A slightly darker fruit profile adds a floral element to the earth and spice nuances. The sleek, delicious and markedly vibrant medium weight flavors conclude in a refreshing, longer and more refined finish. This is an excellent Bourgogne.
Vinous Media: 84-86 Points
The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge contains around 50% whole bunch. I prefer this to the Côteaux Bourguignon this year—there's more freshness and delineation. The palate is balanced with supple tannins. It has fleshy ripe red fruit tones and a sweet, pastille-like finish. Fine.
