A bright yellow/gold color, the 2023 Chardonnay Spirit Hills comes from volcanic soils in the Eola-Amity Hills and saw 40% new French oak for 13 months. Here the reduction bumps up a touch, with notes of white pepper and flinty lift that give way to green apples and salted lime. The palate has a more linear feel, with refreshing, ripe acidity, a floating, chalky texture, even length, and floating finish. Drink 2025-2037.
