From their first vintage in 2014, the wines of Nicolas-Jay — a collaboration between Jay Boberg, a former music executive, and Jean-Nicolas Méo, owner and winemaker at Domaine Méo-Camuzet — have captured our attention and admiration. We’ve been smitten with these Oregonian wines not because they attempt to replicate Burgundy, but because they express the essence of the Willamette Valley in a way that is fresh, precise, and unmistakably their own.
This is their entry wine, but it's not ordinary. The goal isn’t to mimic Burgundy or chase prestige; it’s to capture the elegance of the Willamette Valley. Grapes are drawn from several of the region's great sources: Shea (32%), La Colina (28%), Temperance Hill (24%), and Bishop Creek (16%) Vineyards, with vines up to 36 years old. All are farmed organically, hand-harvested, and carefully sorted in the field and at the winery. The wine is destemmed, unfined, and unfiltered, with only 30% new French oak. Just 25 barrels were made — a reflection of the precision and care behind every bottle.
This unique wine is an exclusive to the winery's top accounts. It's not even available at the winery! We are proud to offer this to you, while supplies last.
