The Meursault "En L'Ormeau" comes from a revered single-vineyard parcel, where old vines (1924) yield Chardonnay with depth and energy, balancing Meursault’s hallmark richness with an undeniable finesse. Vincent’s careful use of larger oak casks and cement eggs in the cellar enhances texture without overshadowing the terroir, ensuring that every bottle captures the essence of its origins.

This is aromatically similar but with more floral influence. There is good underlying tension and reasonable density to the attractively textured middle weight flavors that exude a more subtle bead of minerality on the balanced, clean and nicely dry and chiseled finale that offers solid depth and persistence. This is lovely and a wine that should be approachable young but have no difficulty rewarding 6 to 10 years of cellaring.
