Clos Tonnerre, a monopole of the Domaine, is planted to Pinot Noir and features vines over 50 years old (planted 1958) rooted in hard limestone with quartz-rich soil. The grapes undergo a meticulous harvest, and are 100% destemmed before fermentation, followed by aging in oak barrels (with 15% new oak) for a period of 16 months.
