Elena Penna is a refined and personal spirits venture from the Currado Vietti family—well-known figures in the world of Italian wine, thanks to their former stewardship of the renowned Vietti winery. With Elena Spirits, the family channels their roots in the Langhe region of Piedmont into a new creative pursuit that celebrates the rich botanicals, and traditions, of their homeland.
This Piedmontese vermouth, begins with their Timorasso Derthona 2021 and an infusion of local botanicals based on an old family recipe. After a three-week cold extraction, the wine is blended with the botanicals, then stabilized, and aged in steel for 50 days. The result is a straw-yellow vermouth with aromas of sweet orange, mint, thyme, and wormwood. Best enjoyed over ice, no garnish needed.
